Dr Oliver Dunn, Research Associate with the Cambridge Group for the History of Population and Social Structure, has recently contributed to top-tier journals, such as the Economic History Review, writing about transport in early modern (1600-1800) Britain. He also co-directs a digital humanities project (www.osiris-ai.com) to better harness machine learning algorithms for the collection of data in manuscript form for the social sciences. Oliver moved back to the UK after completing a PhD at the EUI in Florence in 2015, and presently lives and works in Cambridge with his wife and three small children.
