Xintong Gong’s research is focused on the critical analysis of data collection ethics and implications through data-related policies and tools. Inspired by posthumanism, she is keen to investigate how data and digital infrastructures alter the notion of being human and their sociocultural experiences. Xintong also considers how data collection informs the imagination of new relationships between technology and humans.

Xintong received her bachelors’ degree in Culture, Media & Creative Industries (First-Class Honours) from King’s College London. She enjoys exploring digital worlds and takes part in video game 3D production and animation. She aims to harness digital methods reflectively at CDH.
