Cambridge Digital Humanities provides support of up to £2000 for projects in the process of developing bids for funding in the digital humanities. This support is aimed at practical steps towards the development of coherent and realisable bids for submission to funding bodies. Activities might include the identification of suitable funding calls, surveys of existing tools, technologies, standards and platforms, the shaping of digital humanities approaches and methodologies in relation to research questions, assistance with scoping and costing technical aspects, and the identification of networks and partnerships. Priority will be given to projects which are able to demonstrate a broader benefit to digital humanities as a whole, as well as answering specific research questions.
Applicants should provide a document (up to 500 words) including an explanation of the project, identification of specific areas which need to be addressed, and (where appropriate), activities intended to address these areas. Projects should plan to complete the work by the end of April 2021.
Deadline for applications: Friday, 30 October 2020
Applications will be assessed by a panel chaired by CDH Director, Professor Caroline Bassett, and applicants will be notified of the outcome in mid-November.
Completed application form should be emailed to by the above deadline.
