Cambridge Digital Humanities provides funding of up to £1000 for the creation of digital resources in support of DH research. Resources may take the form of images, film, audio, 3D or more specialist forms of imaging and analysis (multispectral, VR etc.). The creation of sample data sets as part of the creation of larger research bids is within scope for this funding. Priority will be given to applications which are able to demonstrate a broader benefit to digital humanities as a whole, as well as answering specific research questions.
Applicants should provide a document (up to 500 words) detailing the resources to be created and the research justification for their creation, including details of any anticipated follow-on bids or projects. For material held in most Cambridge collections, quotes for creation of resources can be obtained from the Digital Content Unit at the University Library. For the digitisation of other material, please provide details of who will be responsible for the creation of the resources, including costings. Projects should plan to complete the work by the end of April 2021.
Deadline for applications: Friday, 30 October 2020
Applications will be assessed by a panel chaired by CDH Director, Professor Caroline Bassett, and applicants will be notified of the outcome in mid-November.
Completed application form should be emailed to by the above deadline.
