8 Feb 2023 12:30 - 14:00 David Williams Building (Law Faculty, Sidgwick Site)

The Technology & New Media Research cluster is back, with a new set of convenors!

The cluster aims to connect academics over multidisciplinary discussions about technology and new media research — think mediated intimacies, AI ethics, digital labour, media discourses, and the likes. We welcome all students (undergraduate and postgraduate), staff, and visiting scholars to attend and participate in any/all sessions.

Aside from the traditional discussion and presentation sessions, we are also planning thrilling speakers events!

Join us for our first session of term: a ‘meet-and-greet’ lunch on 8th February 12:30-14:00 in the Open Basement area of the David Williams Building (Law Faculty, Sidgwick Site). You’ll get to meet peers from other disciplines who share an interest in technology and new media research, and to have your say on the agenda for other sessions. We’ll take care of the food.

You can find us on Twitter (@camtechmedia) here or subscribe to our mailing list by searching for ‘technology and new media’ here — if your mailbox isn’t already too crowded! For more information, please come crowd the mailbox of the conveners – Sophie Mary (sm2597@cam.ac.uk) and Marisa Tangeman (mt877@cam.ac.uk).
