Dr Orietta Da Rold, University Professor and Fellow at St John’s College, researches Middle English texts in their material context and intersections with the digital humanities. Orietta’s work has a specific focus on technological innovations in book production. Orietta has published in diverse media such as digital editions (A Digital Edition of Cambridge University Library, MS Dd.4.24 of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales) and ebooks (The Production and Use of English Manuscripts: 1060 to 1220) as well as in traditional academic forms.

Orietta has also directed several collaborative research projects, such as the Manuscripts Online Project, edited more than half a dozen books, and published more than two dozen essays and articles in peer-review publications.
