Dr Shreepali Patel, Director of StoryLab, interdisciplinary research institute, Anglia Ruskin University. Her research is underpinned by 30 years of filmmaking and broadcast industry experience, with a focus on new strategies and creative intervention to surface diverse voices through immersive narrative experiences. She leads knowledge exchange events, exhibitions, creative practice led-research and provides consultancy exploring the convergence of human creativity, new media, storytelling, cultural heritage & identity. Her current research projects include: Co-I on ERC funded FoodCult with Trinity College Dublin; Co-I on the AHRC funded Stories in Transition; Knowledge Transfer Partnership with the Antarctic Heritage Trust; PI on Re-Loaded: VR Experience in partnership with Essex Police; and PI on The Frontline, seed-funded by the AHRC RIFA Award, a co-creation with healthcare workers in the USA & UK in the pandemic. A former BBC Producer & Director, she is co-founder of BAFTA & Emmy winning Eyeline Films. She sits on the Executive Committee of the British Association of Film & Television Studies (BAFTSS) & the Royal Television Society.
