From Williamson, West Virginia, Eric M. Dillon graduated from Marshall University in 2023 with a BA in English and a BS in computer science. Growing up in deep Appalachia, Dillon learned early on that contemporary representation and presence are critical to individual and group agency.

Dillon’s primary interests while pursuing the MPhil in Digital Humanities include electronic literature, virtual worlds, lost media, digital pedagogy, as well as depictions of Appalachian people in traditional and new media.

Dillon has previously presented at DiHuCon and IEEE conferences, completed archival and Amazon internships, and received the national Phi Kappa Phi Sherrill Carlson fellowship.
