Saul Wickremasinghe is a postgraduate student at the University of Cambridge reading for an MPhil in the field of Digital Humanities. Focusing on natural language processing systems, Saul’s research will investigate questions of public trust in online content moderation. Primarily, his focus will be on instances of misclassification specifically those stemming from the challenges of computationally interpreting ambiguous linguistic constructs, including but not limited to humour, irony, and metaphorical expressions. Aside from this, he has a keen interest in understanding the impact of recommendation algorithms, particularly those that capture and shape our musical preferences
