Shuangyuan (Kevin) Cao is a digital media designer and student interested in the deconstruction and interpretation of visual culture. When being an undergraduate in Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, he pursued the study of video game programming in the Digital Media Arts programme, which has given him some insights into computer science. As a media designer, he focuses on comics as a unique visual medium and advocates the idea of reproducing retro gaming software. As a student of media and digital humanities, he is willing to explore more digital methods for understanding visual culture with his background knowledge in technologies.
