24 Jun 2018 - 30 Jun 2018 09:00 - 22:00 El Colegio de México, Mexico City

Description

The conference will be hosted by El Colegio de México and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in alliance with the Red de Humanidades Digitales (RedHD). This is the first time that DH will be held in Latin America. The conference organizers aim to make DH2018 a truly transnational and inclusive event. The geographical situation of Mexico makes it an ideal locale for converging digital humanists from distinct cultures, contexts, and socio-political realities to network, reflect, collaborate, exchange information, and initiate innovative projects. Mexico City is an energetic and modern metropolis with history dating back to the XIV century when founded by the Aztecs. The conference venue is located in downtown Mexico City and close to numerous tourist attractions and museums such as the Museum of Anthropology, the Zócalo, the Palace of Fine Arts and the National Palace. Mexico City and the surrounding areas have a vast offering of place that are of historical, archaeological, gastronomical, architectural, cultural and natural interest.
