Description

Casebooks Therapy

casebook_therapy_image.png

is an informal reading group for those interested in using the digital edition of Simon Forman and Richard Napier’s manuscripts in their research.

The aim of the reading group is to improve the palaeography skills of those who attend, as well as to provide guidance about how to make sense of our edition of Forman’s and Napier’s records. No familiarity with early modern handwriting is necessary, and the group is open to all.

We will meet on 5:30-7:30pm London / 12:30-2:30pm Baltimore, beginning with 7 May, 21 May, and 4 June. NOTE: The later time than orginally advertised.

If you are interested in attending, please register in advance: https://jhjhm.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJwkc-ygqDwoHdcEdQsmvbimsbvDzbOWD_UX. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

A bit more information: This is a reading group. We will help you understand our edition of Forman’s and Napier’s casebooks, but what we really like doing is helping you read cases, especially ones with difficult handwriting and difficult content. Please come prepared with cases, e.g. CASE29504 (John Langford, age 100).
